The Dance Minor addresses dance as an academic field, enabling students across diverse disciplines to engage with the art form at multiple levels. Its pedagogy integrates students' physical and intellectual capabilities, diffusing the binaries between the practice of dance and theorisations of the dancing body. Situated at the interdisciplinary cusp of the humanities and social sciences, the program treats the moving body as a locus of knowledge creation — pushing the boundaries of what constitutes dance, who can dance, and what dance makes possible.
